The Road to Parity is still small, but as we grow, we want to get it right.
So we're seeking to further develop our governance and support structure to ensure we make robust decisions about our future direction.
Not interested in committees? Good, neither are we!
What we do need, however, are passionate and practical people to voluntarily commit a small amount of time to being on our steering group.
✔ Meet with like-minded and interesting people (not more than 3 times per year)
✔ Develop your skills and knowledge of the developing world
✔ Be part of an embryonic charity as important steps are taken
✔ Feel the satisfaction that you are working for social good and helping to build a transparent and efficient organisation
Meetings may be by Skype etc, but it is hoped that one annual meeting will be around a table in Liverpool.
The Road to Parity has been established in the UK as a society/community organisation. It will open up donation channels once initiatives can be demonstrated. This will also simplify the process of applying for registered UK charity status, which we expect before the end of 2019.
For an informal discussion, call Richard Owens on 01704 533708 or email him on richard@theroadtoparity.org
